USDA Plant Hardiness Zone Map
Find your location on the map, or you can easily find your hardiness zone using your zip code at garden.org.
This will tell you the growing zone you are in. Each plant has two numbers in addition to its growing zone, such as 6-9.
This means the plant will grow in zones 6, 7, 8 and 9.
Please note: There are many variables in plant hardiness. We utilize the best available information to provide information on a plant's hardiness zones. The zone maps are based on multiple years of temperature data. Maps created using data from recent milder winters raise temperatures by one zone in many areas. To further complicate matters, temperatures in any given year can fluctuate up or down by one or even two zones. Factors such as lack of snow cover, extremes occurring too early or too late, and protection from ground cover or buildings can also have an impact. We hope you find this information helpful.
